Spring Term 2026

Our adult art classes take place in a relaxed, supportive, and welcoming environment — the perfect space to unwind, experiment, and enjoy being creative. You’re welcome to bring a snack or drink to class (please no nuts due to possible allergies).

Classes are open to all levels, from complete beginners to more experienced artists. Each session lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, with small class sizes to ensure individual guidance and support.

Rather than following a rigid step-by-step approach, classes explore the why and how behind creative techniques, helping you build confidence, make your own artistic choices, and develop your personal style. If you prefer a more relaxed paint-along style, that option is always available too.

Students are encouraged to explore the medium that interests them most. Sessions may include painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, pastels, or air-dry clay. You’re welcome to focus on one medium or experiment with several while working toward your own individual project at your own pace.

You can choose which medium to start with or follow the recommendation to begin with acrylic paint. During the sessions, you will learn painting techniques, colour theory, composition, layering and texture, basic drawing skills, and how to develop ideas from initial sketches through to a finished artwork. You’ll also build confidence in creative decision-making and learn how to care for and use art materials effectively.

The length of the course depends on you — your pace, your interests, and how much you want to learn. Talent is only 1% of the artist — the rest is practice, exploration, and fun.
